Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried Position
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Position Summary:

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and service delivery of AFRC’s recovery centers. This includes supervising the Management Team, ensuring programs and services are aligned with AFRC policies, and meeting grant-specific requirements. The Director of Operations will also support the Executive Director in sustainability planning for current services and contribute to strategic planning for future program expansion. This position requires adherence to AFRC’s ethical guidelines and personnel policies at all times.

Qualifications:    

·         Experience: Previous experience in operations or program delivery within a nonprofit organization is required.

·         Leadership: Proven experience in staff supervision and performance management.

·         Recovery Experience: Lived experience in recovery with at least 2 years of continuous recovery, actively participating in a recovery program or lifestyle.

·         Community Engagement: Strong ability to network within the recovery community and access local resources.

·         Commitment: Dedication to AFRC’s mission and vision, and willingness to support its voluntary nature. Ability to work weekend and evening hours, as required with advance notice.  

·         Cultural Competency: Experience working with diverse populations and cross-cultural skills.

·         Background Check: Clear or acceptable Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) check.

·         Driver’s License: Valid Colorado driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record and full coverage auto insurance.

·         Technology Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

·         Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

·         Supervision: Lead and supervise the Regional Manager, Program Manager, and other management team members by assigning tasks, monitoring quality of work, and conducting regular supervision meetings.

·         Performance Management: Conduct routine performance evaluations, develop remediation plans when necessary, and ensure proper documentation in line with AFRC policies.

·         Resource Management: Recommend appropriate staffing levels and ensure managers have the tools and resources needed to meet their goals.

·         Partnership Development: Identify potential partnerships with organizations across Colorado to enhance AFRC’s Recovery Support Services. Collaborate with the Director of Community Connections when needed.

·         Operational Systems: Design and implement systems and procedures for efficient daily operations at AFRC’s recovery community centers, in collaboration with the Executive Director.

·         Data Management: Serve as the lead on the organization’s data collection platform, generating reports and assisting the Executive Director in evaluating programs and services.

·         Grant Reporting: Prepare and submit grant-required reports by specified deadlines.

·         Site Visits: Regularly visit all AFRC locations to ensure quality control, staff support, and consistent program implementation across all centers.

·         Strategic Planning: Support the Executive Director in sustainability and strategic planning for both current and future programs.

·         Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support AFRC’s mission and growth.
