Dillon Armstrong
Peer Recovery Coach
Howdy! Dillon Armstrong here. These days my life revolves around my kids, my ranch, and peer coaching at AFRC in Sterling. That wasn’t always the case though. From age 14 to 26 I used and abused darn near every drug I could get my hands on. Coming back from that wasn’t something I could do alone. To build a life I didn’t want to escape from meant finding a community I could be a part of. It meant healthy relationships with people I could turn to when life started swinging, and who celebrate with me when I triumph. I was in rehab in 2020 when I got connected with AFRC. Ever since, they have been all of that and more for me.
I believe in hard work and humble pride to get what you want from life, and I’m here to work hard helping my peers find their paths to and through recovery.
Fun facts about me:
I call my calves beef seeds
I love rock hounding (so much more fun than carpet surfing)
My 6 siblings and I are all adopted
I’m a musician
My playlist is definitely weirder than your playlist
